Exciting 40th Anniversary Event Coming Up!
2016 is a milestone for the Moundridge Manor; it marks 40 years since the day in 1976 that the Manor doors opened for the first time. Isn’t that something to celebrate? We think so! In observation of this milestone, we are planning to have a celebration/fundraiser here at the Manor on Saturday, September 10, 2016. The gears are already turning to get this celebration off the ground and make it a fun and successful community event. Here are some of the highlights we are planning for the big day:
- Various food booths serving yummy things like grilled hamburgers, homemade ice-cream, kettle corn, homemade donuts, etc.
- Group singing by the youth groups from our 13 supporting congregations
- Live auction of donated items and meal tickets
- Interesting displays from Manor history, past residents, etc.
This is a great chance to broaden your circle of friends and acquaintances by hosting a meal ticket event. Some examples of this could be: a game evening with snacks for a few people, a big fish fry at the lake with some friends to help you, or whatever inspires your imagination! Or, if you have any items you would like to donate for our silent auction we would really appreciate your generosity! All proceeds from the day will go toward funding the Moundridge Manor building project. EVERYONE is invited, so mark your calendars and come join us! We are renting a large tent that holds over 500 people; however, we are planning on a very large crowd so if any of you have lawn or camp chairs you would like to bring, that would be great!
