Sorry about the lack of updates over the last few days! It was incredibly busy here on Friday, I actually had off on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday…. well, Monday was a Monday which oozed over into Tuesday, and suddenly here we are smack in the middle of another week! Pretty flimsy excuses, but it’s all I’ve got! 🙂 Moving on… as of Monday noon, all residents displaced by the flood were back home at the Manor. We had 23 come home on Thursday, 23 on Friday, 13 on Saturday, and 13 on Monday. So is life back to normal at the Manor? Not entirely. The first six rooms on Hall 1 had to have about 12 inches of sheetrock along the floor ripped out, so along with new floors on all of Hall 1, the first six rooms are also getting some new sheetrock and paint. Because those rooms are not yet finished, the residents who normally reside there have been given temporary homes in other rooms. The front offices are all getting new floors, some new sheetrock, and some remodeling (something we’ve been wanting to do for a long time). So currently, the Moundridge Manor Secretary, Office Manager, CFO, and Administrator are all sharing the Cottonwood Pointe room – Travis and Kevin have the “corner offices” and Rae and I are the “front offices”. LOL! Oh, and the D.O.N. is in the storage room adjoining Cottonwood Pointe! So no – not quite normal yet! But everyone is glad to be back, and I think we all have a new thankfulness for the support of friends, family, church, and community; we could not have pulled through this ordeal without you!
