A Long Overdue Construction Update

My posts have been sadly few and far between lately, and I do apologize! It seems like around the time when the weather got cold my enthusiasm for traipsing out there dimmed a bit. But… this afternoon is beautiful! It rained off and on yesterday evening and night and was cloudy this morning but it is now 50 degrees with the sun shining and it is glorious! So, I marched out to view the progress and this is what I found:

Much of the drywall and mudding has been done. I toured all three resident wings; each room and adjoining bath has been sheet rocked, but is still in the finishing stages. The majority of the main hallway that connects the three wings is mostly sheet rocked also, with finishing touches still needed. It appears from the vast amount of ductwork and pipes and electrical wiring, that the plumbers, electricians, heating/air people have also been busy.

On the outside, the brickwork continues to progress. Lap siding in the gables is also partially finished. I guess that brings you all up to speed for now. Take care!
