Moving Days!

As most of you know, we received word from the State of Kansas on  August 24 that we had passed all inspections, and that we could begin moving  into the new addition. That was Monday morning; on Monday evening, volunteers and board members arrived to move all the pots, pan, racks, freezer and refrigerator items, dry goods, etc. from the old kitchen into the new one. As you can tell, we were champing at the bit to get started moving!

The following Tuesday, we begin moving residents down Apple Lane. On Wednesday we moved into Bluestem Lane, and on Thursday, the Clover Lane residents moved into their new rooms.

The moves continue this week; today, the new Meadow Lane residents get settled in, tomorrow (Wednesday) Friendship Lane moves, and we finish up on Thursday with a few moves down Rosewood Lane.

It’s an exciting time, but it does have it’s challenges! Remember us in your thoughts and prayers as we continue to try to serve “In the Spirit of Joy”.
