Update On The Construction
Today was another red-letter day in our construction process! The crew from Central Kansas Construction was out bright and early getting ready to pour the concrete pad in the new kitchen/dining area, and also the first wing of private rooms. By 8:00 am the concrete trucks were keeping the road hot between here and Newton, and you could see the boom from the concrete pumper truck over the roof of the Manor as the CKC guys scurried back and forth, manipulating the wet concrete into shape. They made it look about as easy as frosting a cake, but I have a feeling that only comes from experience. I hope they didn’t mind all the attention, because the north dining room windows were like having a front row seat, and definitely made this a spectator sport.
