Full-Time Housekeeper

Position Announcement: Office of Personnel

Moundridge Manor’s Housekeeping Service is seeking a full-time housekeeper to fill a weekly position; hours are 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, 5x /week.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the supervisor, housekeepers are responsible for maintaining a home-like environment for all residents by keeping living areas clean, free of clutter & debris, and in order.

  • Resident Rooms
    • The floor is clean
    • Windowsills are free of dust and dirt
    • Curtains are clean and hung properly
    • Furniture is clean and dust-free including chairs, tables and dressers
    • Waste baskets are clean under plastic lining
    • If floors are being mopped, “wet floor” signs clearly mark the wet areas
    • Soap dispenser is full and without dried soap, if appropriate
    • Paper towel dispensers are stocked
    • Sinks are clean and free of debris.
    • Walls are clean and free of dirt
    • Floor baseboards in all areas are clean
    • Light fixtures are dust-free
    • Artwork and other objects on the wall are dust-free
    • Mirrors are clean and free of spots
    • Floor polish is non-slip and non-glare
    • Cleaning supplies are either being used or stored
    • There are no hazards in the area that could cause residents to fall or otherwise injure themselves. Wet floor signs used appropriately
    • Resident refrigerator temp checked 5 days a week – defrosted as needed
  • Common Areas
    • The floor is clean
    • Furniture is clean and dust-free including chairs, tables, medical storage carts, etc.
    • Waste baskets are clean under plastic lining
    • If floors are being mopped, “wet floor” signs clearly mark the wet areas
    • Soap dispensers are full and without dried soap, if appropriate
    • Paper towel dispensers are stocked
    • Walls are clean and free of dirt
    • Floor baseboards in all areas are clean
    • Light fixtures are dust-free
    • Artwork and other objects on the wall are dust-free

This is not an exhaustive list, but a common summary for duties applicable to this position.

a. Education Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, follow directions, and perform some mathematics.

b. Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (90% of work day)
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on occasion

Shift Schedule: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, scheduling in coordination with other department staff.

COVID-19 considerations:
